We will present selected stories that will surprise and delight the design community. Each expands one's sense of the possible, and of the relevance of design processes in our lives. As it turns out, the potential impact of design as a force for change can expand and deepen into areas not yet considered. The stories we will bring include new ways to re-village the city, ways to absolutely destroy the endemic social isolation of the American neighborhood, and create high-performance neighborhoods out of trash. Each story describes a way for our society to fall in love with design once again.
